Red Rock is a buyer of standing timber and land in Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia and Ohio. The company offices are centrally located within the Appalachian Mountains and on major transportation routes.

The company strives to utilize all parts of trees harvested, ranging from veneer logs to pulpwood, and can provide brokerage services for veneer logs, saw logs, peeler logs, scragg logs and pulpwood.

Carbon Sequestration

Red Rock can provide a service as a sub aggregator under NCOC (National Carbon Offset Coalition) for 3rd party certified forest lands, to secure landowners an income stream for their timber tracts.

Veneer Logs
Primarily Red Oak and Cherry logs, supplied to veneer plants.

Peeler Logs
Poplar peeler logs are normally 10" in diameter or more, and have lengths of 8' and greater.

Saw Logs
A steady inflow of saw logs offer typical diameters of 10" or more, and lengths of 8' and greater. Species include Red Oak, White Oak, Rock Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Soft Maple, Poplar and Ash, and all grades are available with 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 sides clear. These logs are suitable for making high quality furniture and grade lumber and are available to sawmills.

Scragg Logs
Scragg logs are usually 9" and less in diameter and in lengths 6' and longer. Scragg  logs provide low grade lumber sawmills with the raw material needed to produce such things as pallets and blocking lumber.

Pulpwood
In order to utilize all parts of the trees harvested, Red Rock Enterprises has pulpwood available in all species with diameter sizes 4" and greater and in lengths 8' and longer.  Pulpwood is supplied to paper and OSB plants.
